What is diabetes?

In simple language, diabetes is a metabolic disorder in which the body becomes unable to use glucose. Because of this, the level of glucose in the bloodstream and urine increases. The accumulation of glucose can result in severe heart disease problems, kidney failure, stroke, and blindness.

What to do?

  • Fruits and vegetables include bitter gourd, amla, Haridra, and catechu.
  • Include physical activities such as walks and regular exercise in your routine.

What not to do?

  • Do not eat black gram, new rice, and grains.
  • Avoid foods like milk, curd, buttermilk, oil, jaggery, alcohol, sugarcane products, potatoes, betel nut.
  • Do not take snacks unnecessarily.
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking.
  • Stop eating sweets
